Awesome fireworks to start July!

It was another spectacular 4th of July Fireworks display on Pearl Lake. Uncle Mark out did himself once again with the best homegrown fireworks display... a show that puts those single rocket shooters to shame.

Here they are fusing everything together on the raft. All of the boxes are carefully unwrapped, laid out on ply wood and then connected with fuses and scotch tape (very technical I know!)

When it was finally dark enough - the raft was pulled out to the middle of the lake between the pontoon boats. Patrick tied off the rope on the raft and we got out of the way --- Mark's boat got the honor (?!?) of lighting the initial fuse and "running" (as much as you can do that on a boat).

The result?!? --- a continuous display of fireworks! The lake was oohing and aahing the whole time.  Our boat enjoyed the show while listening to Lindy's patriotic CD and eating Chocolate EauClaire cake!
Did I mention I love summer?!?

Well done Rhyan family :)
