This past weekend Patrick and Dusty competed in the Olympic Triathlon at Elkhart Lake. It was a great day for a race - much cooler than years past - and the guys did great as usual!
Pre-race hugs with the little guys
Patrick and Dusty ready to swim!
Patrick wore Uncle Mark's tri-suit. Mark had always offered for him to borrow it so he thought it was time to give it a try - perfect spot since we were at the Osthoff Lake Resort,
which Mark helped build.
I think Patrick had his best swim too!
Sweet little Abram smile :)
James out on the bike course.
The Stelse family gave us their kid leash - thought this was the perfect time to try it out. Really just used it as a safety precaution - but being 8 months pregnant on the side of two country roads with a 1 year old - safety precautions are a good thing!
It also doubles as a backpack and has a whiteboard in it for coloring!
Doesn't he look cute?
Dusty's parents came to the race as well and brought cow bells - James figured out how to hold it to make the most noise pretty quickly!
Dusty on the run - looking strong!
Patrick racing by as well - James cheering, "da-dee, da-dee! "
Post race family photo - James was not too excited about it!
Abram didn't seem to mind :)
What a sweet little family photo!
And Jim and Kay sporting their Ironman t-shirts!
After the race, the boys dipped back in the lake to cool off.
Abram wasn't a fan of the water -
he was more interested in hanging out with Momma for a post race snack!
So cute!
