39 weeks!

We stayed home last weekend and enjoyed a lazy weekend on Madison - but given the warmer weather and the lack of baby progress - we decided to venture up north this weekend.
The weather was great, the water warmed up and it was a true summer weekend!

Jenny and Jeff and Joe ended up joining us for the weekend - Here are Jenny and I at 39 weeks.

Saturday morning James helped Grammy make some scones --- he was still a little sleepy and my camera was catching some funny shots --- He actually really enjoyed helping!

These days he is also happiest with a choo choo gripped in one or both of his hands!

We spent a lot of time in the water too.  Uncle Jeff was showing James how to splash.

High-fives with Daddy while swimming.

Buppa was scrubbing the boat... and Jimmy!

Close-up - post dunk!

Jo-jo was taking photos for us and caught some great shots of Jeff.
These are two of my favorites!

Not sure they were intended for the blog - but they were on the camera - so I thought I would share :)

Snoozing with Grammy on the boat.

Playing with Grammy on the shoreline

Snuggling with Karen, post swim, on the boat.

Three brothers fishing on the pier.

Minnows have been the bait of choice lately so the guys were taking turns catching them in the shallow water. It became a game and James enjoyed watching and cheering on their efforts.
Buppa snagged a blue gill with the net once or twice as well.

Check out this great floater!
Love that he is not afraid and appears to know how to steady himself and "swim" if he stumbles.

Such a cute pic of the parents-to-be!
Can't wait to meet their little nugget soon :)

Lunch on  the boat --- James chowing on a cheeseburger!

Such a big kid!

And my favorite photo from the weekend. The boys went over to the train shed while we were fixing dinner --- everyone had a train hat and it appears that James was showing them how it works!
Looking good boys!

Here's hoping next weekend's post will include a baby or two!
It is July babies --- we are ready for you both!
