Memorial Day 2016 Post #1

We were thrilled to have a lovely long weekend at the cottage with Grammy and Buppa AND the Rubles! The weather has finally been nice and it was clear that we were all itching for some R & R
(as much as that is possible at this point in our lives!) at Pearl Lake!

So fun to see the boys play together and how much they have grown and changed since the last visit.
Jojo was so excited to READ to Grammy! Isaac was happy to sit and listen for a few minutes --- and he is super great at smiling for pictures right now --- "CHEEEEEEESE!"

Back and forth across the street to the train shed. These kids are getting really great at looking both ways to cross :) This spring there was a new addition to the train set - a THOMAS the TRAIN!
Isaac about jumped out of his skin he was so excited!!!
"Thomas, Thomas! Thomas! Thomas Thomas!!!!!!!"

Ben had fun testing out Isaac's bike and helmet - we kept lowering and raising the seat for whichever kid was on it. Still one of the best purchases we ever made!

Just a glimpse of the adventures these boys are going to get themselves into as they grow --- Grammy happily obliged them by opening the crawl space under the house --- I am now wondering how long it will take before the littles get locked in that?!?

We had a couple fun games of whiffle ball this weekend... even Ikey got in on the action with Aunt Lisa. He didn't hit the ball, but as you can see, he was on the wrong side of the plate!

TJ and Jojo are little sluggers and love running the bases.
Isaac was less than pleased to be "stuck" playing catcher.

Memorial Day craft project for the big boys - we have been told that James loves crafts at school and always asks to do the project more than once --- that didn't happen here, but still love that all of the big boys like to do creative stuff.

Isaac is in full "Jerome mode" at the cottage - always spots that he is on the move and so excited when they find him. Isaac calls him "Jome" :)

Not at all surprised that this kid spent most of the weekend in the water - what a fish!
All of the kids live in their life jackets - but that is especially helpful for this little butch.
Can you say NO FEAR?!?

Silly grins filled with minnow bait (white bread) apparently we pushed lunch too long since each kid managed to get their hands on  full slices of bread and happily shoved it in.
This is how both of the littles choose to eat these days - Patrick had to perform the Heimlich on Ben after a donut incident.

Half a sandwich, no problem... that TOTALLY fits in my mouth!

Remember this photo for post #2 --- as I said, life jackets are SUPER important!!!

Ben relaxing with his momma and Isaac talking to Lisa.
Ben is talking a ton --- so cute!
My favorite word from the weekend, "coffeecake?" --- clear as a bell!

Isaac was loving up on Jimmy --- jimmy just gave in and let him!

Loving this summer weather!

Jimmy was so enthusiastic about everything this weekend.
Saturday we kept hearing him shout, "this is so great!" or "I am having so much fun!" just to anyone that would listen or to no one at all.
He and Corey and Patrick went tubing and he had a ball.

High fives all around after the ride.

Lots of fishing this weekend too - but again, needed those minnows for bait.
I just love kids fishing on their bellies with nets.
So adorable!

Family Photo!

Isaac we love you dearly - but this was a great few minutes on the boat :)
