Slip n slide slide

So ever since we added the slide to the deck, I have been thinking about adding the slip n slide to the end.
This was something we did as kids in our back yard, thought I am still curious how long of a hose we must have had...

The slide is right next to the garden which is FILLED with raspberries - which Anna loves.

It cracks me up that she just reaches in and helps herself.

One of my favorite summer photos - swim suit, raspberries and those lashes!

Can't seem to get them in fast enough and I love the fruit on her pinky too!

And last, but not least, the video --- so fun!

Isaac fly - flop

Isaac flew a little higher and got the ultimate belly flop at the end too!

Jimmy fly

The boys had some high quality uncle fun at the cottage this summer --- check it out!

summer weekends are the best

Another beautiful weekend up north - grateful for excellent weather and a change of scenery!
We finally got Anna in the water again -- I was dipping her toes to clean them off and she giggled, so we went with it and she was "jumping" off the pier into my arms in no time!

We happened upon this dog stuck under our pier at the same time and I am so grateful that he didn't scare her off again (and also that the dog survived the ordeal too!) We had to call Corey and a neighbor over to help get the poor pup free --- glad it was friendly!
And as I mentioned above, Anna was not phased by it. Look at this great photo captured by Isaac!
All of the kids are getting more adventurous and enjoy all the things the lake has to offer including taking the ladies for a boat ride!
More swimming!
Corey (our master sailor) has been taking the kids for some awesome windy rides this summer. One of the positives to NO WAKE for sure!
Smores!
And fireworks --- look at the joy I captured here! :)

These boys were in their glory for sure!
Buppa is getting ready to sell his motorcycle so the boys each got a ride around the lake. Pretty cool!
Dad mentioned he worried at one point that Isaac had nodded off! Soothing hum of the bike, but you gotta hang on man!
This was as close as Anna got --- sorry honey :)

Isaac's birthday

This is the first time in a long time that we weren't on family vacation over Isaac's birthday. We had plans to have a few neighbor friends over for cake in the backyard - but mother nature had other plans!
We created a Sonic head with Red Velvet Cake - so it was quite colorful all around!

We decorated the car on the inside and blasted the Happy Birthday song they play at the Nitty Gritty and drove around in style!

The kids thought this was fabulous - but it became even more fun when Patrick came out in full rain gear to deliver from car to house. The rain not only didn't stop - it increased and caused out valley to flood at every intersection. I got to be the driver and plowed through the water in the truck
- it was AWESOME!
When we got home we decided we might as well all get a little wet and grabbed out boots!

It was pretty impressive and definitely a birthday we will always remember!

Father's Day

Father's Day 2020 was much sunnier and warmer  than Mother's Day!
Happy to have a beautiful day to hang with some of the best!

The kids brought out their cards and gifts - so cute!

Dad photo!

Talk about a girlie girl - look at these adorable flower sandals - hand me downs are the best!

We celebrated with Buppa (and Grammy's birthday) on Friday

And then enjoyed an afternoon in Fondy on Sunday.

Talking with Grandma on the swing!

So grateful for the Dads in our world!

10 years!

Its been 10 years since we said "I do" at Pearl Lake --- at one of the best weddings we have ever attended!
We had originally had plans to host a party at Pearl Lake - but under the circumstances, we celebrated in our usual way at home :)

Europe meal for dinner

10 years!
We capped off the night chasing fireflies in the backyard with the kids - love that this dress is getting so much use and so many more memories.
Cheers to the next 10 and here's hoping that 2021 might bring a big party!

4th of July

As usual, we got a nice long weekend at the cottage over the 4th - days filled with swimming, family and good food!

Jimmy has been helping with pancakes on occasion!

I love this photo - swimming diaper and a bib - Anna was on a Watermelon kick this week and ate "mae-yon" any chance she could get!

Lots of Mabel rides with and without snacks!

We celebrated Isaac's birthday - helmet was a gift and was worn most of the night!

Grammy made a special surprise cake!

Cake for everyone - so glad that the Rhyans were able to come back this summer!

4th of July photo --- packed all the kids with ONLY red, white and blue clothes - just like when we were kids!

Ready for the fireworks --- we know some people that really put on a good show!

Beer Mile challenge --- I think COVID is making everyone look at ways to connect and engage with friends and do fun new things... we decided we were too old for this :)

This summer gave us more chances to hang with friends on the lake! The boys are loving having Brock to hang with - here's hoping  there will be lots more friendships to build as they get older - so fun to connect!

Loving the sandbox - thanks again Aunt Diane for the Turtle Box and for G&B making it happen!

Highlight of the summer --- ping pong outside!
This was the second night of fireworks --- got a view through the trees while we played.
It was awesome!

Anna has discovered  the Eagle's Nest and LOVES to go up there to play!

Learning to fish just like her bros!

These guys are getting to be such great swimmers!
A true picture of summer fun!
