Minocqua 2017 - part two

We had great weather every day this year and an awesome new floatie (!) to enjoy every minute.

The boys and I took the paddle board out - happy to report we all stayed dry!

Tara - loving the floatie!

The kids had a great time with squirt guns and jumping in - again and again!

Sunglasses!
(Jenny bough bright colored glasses for everyone --- super fun!)

They moms liked to own the floatie whenever possible!
Even if kids joined us...

Did I mention Tara loved it?!?

Landon tried water skiing... he did great --- the driver (me) and the rope holder (Patrick) were the problem! Once Patrick asked if I was using the full throttle when starting... I said NO. He suggested I do that --- the next time, Patrick fell right off the back!

Celebration Root beers!

John and Jack were speedsters!

Loved watching these kids jump in and swim together!

Snuggle time with Grandma!

silly Jimmy!

It took Allie a little more time to get in the water - but when she did - she loved it!

Parker was a trooper --- lots of shade time for this baby :)
But I think he enjoyed watching everyone run back and forth!

enjoying the sun!

more snuggle time in the towels.

Parker and John driving the boat.

Post swimming selfie.

The whole crew in our sunnies!

Look at this crazy bunch!!!

Fire pit family selfie --- this was about how long most of us were out there, those mosquitos were nasty and HUGE!

Minocqua 2017 - part one

We continued the birthday festivities at the Conlon cottage on our way up to Minocqua.
It was a great time - though I didn't have my camera - so my photos are severely lacking :(

Aunt Amy and Isaac showing their tongues!

The birthday boys stealing a taste!

How cute is this?!?

Happy Birthday Isaac!

Isaac seems to have the forever birthday given the multiple celebrations spread over different weekends, vacations, school, etc. I don't think he minds...!

The boys are obsessed with Cars right now --- so these lego cars were a hit!

This is his "embarrassed smile" - tongue out no eye contact!

Again the wonderment of the sparklers.... "don't look directly at them....!"

We celebrated in Minocqua on their actual birthdays.
Isaac took a taste of the frosting before we sang.

Look at those puffy cheeks!

Happy Birthday Isaac!

4th of July weekend at the cottage

We spent last weekend at the cottage and even though July 4th wasn't until Tuesday, we celebrated all weekend - as did the rest of the lake!

So I was a rock collector as a kid and apparently I have passed that gene down to James.  I have started enforcing the rule my parents put on me --- you can only take home what you can carry!!!!
Fortunately for Buppa, most of the rocks James finds and "HAS to keep" are on the beach area, so Jame and Buppa are happy guys!

There is a new addition at the cottage - a water basketball hoop.
Very fun!

Corey was trying to convince Isaac to lay down and take a rest on the boat (something all of us adults would love to do!) I think they laid there long enough for me to snap the photo!

The boys went for a few Mabel rides --- love having those big cousins to take them :)

Jeff and Jenny, Leo and Parker joined us Saturday afternoon and the boys were pumped to play!
Leo took a turn driving the boat with Buppa.

Boat rides that don't include a swim in the middle of the lake sometimes get a little long for this wild child. Thankfully, Grammy had photos to show for entertainment.

Cousin hugs

The Rhyans organized their firework spectacular for Saturday night and once again outdid themselves.  A few more families have contributed to the fun and the show was awesome!

That's a lot of fuses!

Sunday morning was a rainy - so we headed to the train shed.

Isaac is very excited because he gets to run Thomas the Train by himself (or as he says it: I do it myCHELF") when he is 3. Just a few more days!

This is the latest addition to the train table. I had a ski chalet and the ski hill as part of holiday decorations when I was younger and we have since decided they would be better served year-round at the cottage.  Buppa worked to create a ski bridge to connect the two and they are now permanently part of the train set! Doesn't it look great?!?

The skies cleared and we had an awesome Sunday.
Leo is just as much of a fish as our boys!

Lots of jumping and swimming!

Parker had a great time watching them all run back and forth.

So the 4th of July weekend is ALWAYS super busy, and this weekend was no different.
Patrick took me skiing and then we traded and in between it got even busier. There were so many boats that I ended up having to dump him in the other lake and the traffic and the waves were so heavy I couldn't get the boat to get up to speed to get him back up on the skies.
Charlie was waiting on the pier to throw Patrick a beverage upon return - so since he wasn't skiing anymore, he jumped out of the boat to catch it instead.
Corey caught this great action shot!

Hey - it's the 4th of July in case you didn't know... :)

And we are all pretty joyful about it!

Leo joy!

The waves were so big, the kids could sit on the shore and get knocked over... they thought it was awesome!

Mr. Parker was a trooper - and so cute!

Jimmy was testing out someone's goggles - he loved that he could see underwater.

Relaxing on the boat. Now this is summer!
