Ellestad Vacay

We were thrilled to have a week of "normal" for our annual Ellestad Up North vacation - and even more thrilled that everyone started and ended the week healthy!

This was the first year in a long time that I felt less tied down to kid responsibilities - and it was awesome! Anna was less than interested in going to bed (major case of FOMO Every dang night) so when Patrick said he was going to skip the adult boat ride to help with bedtime, I quickly asked if I could go instead!

Good motto for any vacation and life in general!

As with all things this year, we had to adapt our usual plans --- family style breakfast at Paul Bunyan's was off the schedule - so leave it to these two to make a stellar breakfast on their own... in costume!

These two had a blast together - between cruisin' in the paddle boat to fishing to video games, they did it all together.

Wesley's first vacay - chill little dude :)

Anna loved the fast boat --- something she hasn't gotten a lot of in her short life so far - that high water at Pearl Lake means she hasn't even really been in a speed boat... until now!

The cousin twins --- also enjoyed some quality time together and with Isaac spending so much time outside this summer - they look a lot like twins too!

Lots of joy in the north woods!

Boat rides --- girls up front!

Boys doing silly things :)

On a chillier day - we found a park in town and played.

And when that day turned rainy - the adults played drinking games at the basement bar!

These two love to snuggle!

Grandpa provided an endless lazy susan with candy each afternoon --- talk about your best life!

Ice Cream in town with Grandma and Grandpa after the waterski show!

What a crew! Thanks for the fun and sun and the memories!
