We spent the next two weeks unpacking and enjoying a little extra time together. The kids were out of school and day care and we took some time off work and just got settled into our new home as a family.
There is a path around our neighborhood that is about 1 mile - perfect for stretching our legs and finding some sledding spots!
The boys have even met some neighbor kids and are loving the freedom of a less busy street!
James has been waiting since his birthday to set up his Christmas train.
And first time ever for us - we woke up in the middle of the night to a CRASH!
It woke us both - but Patrick figured out what it was before I did.... "oh no!"
We lost quite a few ornaments and and a few hours of sleep cleaning it all up.
This lady is loving a little extra freedom in our new community. (Partially also because we don't have daycare) she gets to go more places! Love having her in the cart and so enjoy her joyful chatty conversations as we shop!
We have gotten some wonderful "welcome to the neighborhood" gifts including these
watercolor paint cookies.
The boys made their first snowmen at the new house and Grandpa was so kind to bring over the coal needed to complete their faces!
Painting has been much easier with these handy self filling rollers!
Christmas treats and little helpers!
Christmas jammies and silly faces!
Even got in our traditional Christmas movies --- we are ready for Christmas!
