Growing up too fast!

This past weekend Patrick and my Dad went on a snowmobile trip in UP - so Mom came to stay with us and have some extended Jimmy James time!

We took some time Friday and went to the Children's Museum. This was James' first trip there and he thought it was fantastic! I was unsure if he was too little - but apparently I was wrong!

We spent most of our time in the 5-and-under area - here James is in a big fluffy corner with a fish tank.  He was thrilled to have such a close view of the tank and enjoyed throwing himself around the plush cushions. This was also followed by shrieks of joy!

Here he is in the water table area. They have these great "waterproof"smocks that do help a little - but this kid managed to soak the parts not covered by the smock as well. At one point he turned around and both of the front pockets were FILLED with water.
In this photo James is trying to drink the fountain --- yuck!

More water time

This was a tube thingy that you could put balls in and then would rolls down and come out at the bottom. It was humorous because the balls would get stuck so when you put a red ball in a green one would fall out of the bottom. A little hard to make a one year old understand - but he still liked it!

And the highlight of any kid's trip - petting the roof top rats!
I am willing to bet if Grammy takes James to the museum on her own, they will be skipping the rats!
James was very excited and yet surprisingly gentle!

And check out this big kid --- lunch a Culver's - no need to break up my food - I can eat it like a big kid!

I love this little smirk --- so proud!

He was a big fan!
And did you notice the hand-me-down IRONMAN t-shirt? Based on all of the cousins - I am guessing he will have one to wear for the next few years if he wants!
